My Life as a Vampire

Vampire is an imaginary creature that creates by the imagination of humans. Some of the humans believe that vampires only exist in vampire epics, but some of the humans believe these creatures exist.  Vampires exist, and I am one of them. Now I will share my life as a vampire.

I was born in Romania, the hometown of vampire. I was born with beautiful facial features, a fair skin, a pair of golden eyes, a curl blonde hair and a sexy lip. I am from Nosferatu family, the powerful vampire family.  Our family ruled the kingdom for 500 years, almost half of the decade. Humans could not find us easily because we hide at a secrete place.  Time flies, but our facial features still remain at the young stage. Now I am 190 years old, still at the teenager stage of a vampire.

           

When I was a vampire child, I fed on human energy essence. We sucked the essence of their energy from their body and they fall asleep. Don’t worry they were still alive and they would get up after they slept for 2 hours.  Now, human energy essence does not enough for me, I must feed on human blood. Human blood is juicy and tasty; it just likes a drug, very attractive. I would sneak inside their room at night and enjoyed my food after they had fall asleep. I have a special ability to erase their memories and their wounds, so they do not remember anything happened and the pain they suffered.

But sometimes some special cases occurred. Some of the human remembered “the blood feeding” incident. They wanted to get rid of us because they thought we will attack them again, that was why the vampire hunters have existed. Some of my races have hunted. The hunters found out our heart are our weakness, so they invented some tools that could hunt us. Nowadays the number of hunters decreases, so I can relax and play in the human world.

Actually, I love to stay in the human world, mix around with them.  My parents have gave a permission that I can hang up with humans on Halloween Day, so that I will not reveal my true identity and still can play with humans. After I enjoyed my outing, I would erase their memories.

So, this is my life as a vampire, never ends and always the same.

             

           

             

A Nightmare

One evening, Darren, who was a village boy, got the green light from her mum to cycle to the town which was just a stone’s throw away from his home to watch a movie. The horror flick was entitled “A Strange Encounter at Midnight”. The film was quite terrifying but Darren was unfazed because he knew that it was all make-believe.

When the movie finally ended, it was almost midnight. Darren hopped onto his bicycle and began his long journey home. It was a lovely moonlit night and Darren cycled leisurely along the roadside. While enjoying the moment, he felt like a dog with two tails.

Out of sudden, Darren caught a glimpse of a lone girl standing on the pavement. His heart skipped a beat because the girl was ethereally beautiful. Without any hesitation, Darren stopped his bicycle in front of the girl. The lass smiled demurely and told Darren that she had missed the last bus. The gallant Darren volunteered to give her a lift home. He cycled merrily along with the damsel in distress riding pillion.

Out of the blue, Darren heard a strange laugh. He glanced behind and nearly died of fright because the gorgeous maiden had turned into a grotesque monster with a wormy skull. The creature grinned menacingly at him. Poor Darren started shrieking and pedalling furiously. Unfortunately, he lost his balance and promptly landed in a monsoon drain.

When Darren woke up, he found himself lying on the floor of his bedroom. It turned out that he just had had a nightmare. He heaved a sigh of relief and thanked his lucky star that it was not a real life experience.

Snatch Thief

Last two weeks, after arrived at Sibu airport, my sister and I went to the shopping mall. We went to Star Megamall which is near to the airport. It was the day before Chinese New Year. So the complex was really packed and crowed. Many girls and ladies were walking in and out of the shops, swinging their handbags. The handbags were hanging loosely from their shoulders.
That was what I was doing too. I was so engrossed in looking at some clothes and shoes with my sister because my sister asked me to pick for her that I forgot my loosely hung handbag was enticing a snatch thief. So I did not realize a snatch thief creeping quietly behind me and pulling my handbag.

When I felt something tugging away, I knew what was happening. The thief was holding my handbag. I screamed at the top of my voice, “Help! Stop the thief!” my right arm was bleeding profusely at the same time.

A boy heard my cry for help and looked at the man running away. The thief was running down the escalator holding my handbag tightly. By then, a crowd gathered near me. My sister was attending to my arm which hurt a lot. The boy chased after the thief. A security guard on duty on the ground floor also saw the thief running down the escalator. He immediately chased after the thief.

Finally, at the foot of the escalator, he pinned down the thief and quickly snatched the handbag away from the thief. The other shoppers ran to take a look at the thief. My sister helped me to go down the escalator to take back my handbag. I could see the thief clearly now. The thief was tall and thin.

After that, two policemen arrive and they handcuffed the thief. I felt very thankful to the security guard and kept on thanking him. My sister and I realized that we needed to be more careful with our handbags especially when shopping. Oh yes, we learnt a good lesson from this incident.   

My Most Embarrassing Moment

I have had many embarrassing moments. The one happened two years ago was most embarrassing, yet amusing.

The incident took place on my way to school in a humid day. I waited impatiently for the public bus to come. It was hot and unruly as the crowd thicken. Finally, the long-awaited bus roared into the station. We fought our way into the bus. 

The moment I stepped into it, the stifling heat made me felt the need of fresh air immediately. Wasting no time, I pushed the window hard to no avail. There must be something stuck in between this particular window. 

I was engrossed in getting this stubborn window open that I lost my rationale. I just want to break open it. Despite my unsteady balance, I give the window one last push with all might. To my horror, it came off and dropped out! My heart skipped a beat.

I was dumbfounded! The window broke into thousand pieces on road. The bus conductor must have heard that as he screamed the bus stopped. The bus made an emergency brake. Tyres blazed the asphalt road, creating sickening screech. 

Shards of shattering glass glinted under the sunlight. The bus conductor got down to check things out. He brought back the steel frame of the window with his jaws dropped a centimetre in amazement for every step he took. 

All eyes were on me. My cheeks burned, turning red like beetroot out of humiliation. Waiting anxiously for the cold lecture, I was scared out of my wits. Will the fierce-looking bus conductor create a nasty scene? 

Silence overshadowed the bus. Next moment, the bus roared with laughter. Instinctively, I laughed sheepishly. What the conductor said rings fresh in my mind. “Wow, for such a petite girl, you have incredible strength! Now, have all the air you wanted! ”

I thanked my lucky stars. No one was hurt. I was not asked to pay for the damage. Neither was I given a lecture. That was my most embarrassing moment in life.

An Unforgettable Experience in My Life

Many things happened throughout my life and I had experienced some unforgettable experiences. The most unforgettable experience that ever happened in my life is I nearly lost my life in the beach. It is because of my own fault for not listening to my mother’s advice

I still remembered that day was Sunday. My family and I went to beach for a picnic. My brother, Sebastian, my sister, Victoria and I were excited as we never went for a picnic before. 

It took two hours for us to go to the beach. Victoria helped my parents to put all the food and drinks under a big shady tree. After having our lunch, my parents and Sebastian rested on a mat while my sister and I went to swim. My mother advised us not to swim too far from the beach. I just ignored her advice. Victoria and I soon get bored of just swimming there. So, we swam further from the beach until we hardly saw our parents. 

We quite enjoyed swimming in the water. I even swam further than my sister without her realisation. Suddenly, my leg felt weak. I was unable to swim at all. I thought I was going to drown. I gasped for air and hardly kept myself floating in the water surface. 

 “Help ! Help me!!!” I screamed.

Sebastian immediately jumped into the water and tried to save me. That time, I already sink into the water. Fortunately, Sebastian was able to save me before I sink deeper into the water. 

After we were in the land, my parents were so worried about me. My father scolded me for not listening to my mother. I regretted and apologized to my parents. Since then, I learnt a lesson that I should listen to my parents’ advice.

Persuasive Speech - Did Aliens Really Exist? Are They Coming to Us?

                Did you guys ever hear the terms “Alien” or “UFO”, namely Unidentified Flying Object? The most important is, do you believe they really exist? I can definitely tell you that, I myself really believe in their existence.

            

            First, let’s talk about the probability of aliens. For your information, an estimated 50 billion galaxies are visible with modern telescope and the total number in the universe must surely exceed it! Can you imagine that there are billions and trillions planets in the universe capable of producing life! The fact of the matter is, these numbers are terribly in favour of the existence of aliens. Isn’t it too arrogant for us to say that God created this universe just merely for human beings? If it is so, then we are truly a miracle!

           

             Now, let’s talk about pyramids. We claim to be the most advanced beings this world has ever seen, yet we can’t replicate the pyramids in Egypt. There are two possibilities right here. It is either we were super advanced thousand years ago which evolution doesn't agree with or that something besides Earthly humans made them. I can’t think of any other explanations for this, can you?

           

          Look, what is this? Obviously, it’s a wow. In 1997, The Big Ear radio telescope has picked up such unusual signal. An astronomer studied the data and was shocked that the signal came from an empty spot in space. An empty spot in space! Do you know what is that mean? According to the fact, the nearest star in that specific direction is 220 million light years away. It is surely impossible for any visible planets including stars to occupy the space. So? What does it mean? Did the signal come from other dimension? Now you should believe that extra-terrestrials life do exist in this world and yet to be discovered.

            

            I will like to share with u a little bit about Bermuda Triangle. Did u ever hear that? The Bermuda Triangle, also known as Devil’s Triangle or Devil’s Sea. It is an area noted for a high incidence of unexplained losses of ships, small boats and aircraft. Anything caught in this yet unexplained phenomenon, vanishes forever. Where do they go? There is none of a definite answer when this black-hole-alike phenomenon can’t be detected by sophisticated science and technologies. For me, I will again blame aliens in their flying saucers. Although their motives are unclear, it has been suggested that aliens have chosen the Bermuda Triangle as a point to capture and abduct human for unknown purposes.

           

          Feeling confused? Curious? Amazed? Don’t worry, with today’s advanced technology, just go to Google Search, Wikipedia, Encyclopedia, or YouTube, you will get what you want. Caution for you. The next time you are driving along and see something that’s not quite a plane, and not quite a star, take a second look; it might be an alien’s plane.  They will soon get into you.

Persuasive Speech 4 - Now is Time to Quit Facebook

Good afternoon to Miss Sophia and my fellow friends. Today I would like to present you a speech entitled, ‘Now is the Time to Quit Facebook’.

One of the worse epidemics in the history of mankind is taking place today. Over 900 million people are already infected and the numbers grow by thousands every day. And chances are 90% of you in this room are already infected and you don't know about it. This epidemic is known as The Facebook Addiction Disorder. (FAD)]

            Admit it or not, Facebook is taking over our lifestyles. We start to feel that a day is incomplete without logging in our Facebook account. Everyone is more or less infected by the FAD. 

Imagine that with Facebook, we get the chance to connect with over a hundred friends everyday every time. We are supposed to feel happier and more loved, but this is not depicted in our real life at all. In fact the feeling of emptiness is slowly expanding in the social gaps between people. Negative posts such as Facebook suicidal status are often spread widely on Facebook, causing detrimental effects towards the society.

Ladies and gentlemen,

Now let us rethink for a second, probably you have 500 plus friends on Facebook currently. But how many true friends are there in your Facebook friends? Why would you bother to update your news on Facebook? Or in other words, why would a stranger care about what activities you have or what mood are you in currently? Wouldn’t it be creepy if a ‘stranger’ actually cares about you given the fact that you do not know each other in real life? In real life, the close friends are always by your side. You can connect with them without depending on Facebook. If they are far away from you, you can keep in touch with them using Skype or other social tools. 

           

          Using Facebook is just a waste of time. People nowadays are spending too much time online. We are constantly being distracted by the hours we spent looking at profiles and pictures (sometimes of a person we merely know), when there are so many wonderful things we could do outside the internet. Take off for a few days and try out new activities rather than facing the computer whole day. For example, read a good book, listen to music, cook a meal and have a nice chat with your family. Life is so much meaningful without Facebook.

On Facebook, all your interactions in real life are being transformed into texts and symbols that do not carry any emotions. Interactions between people became mundane and unreal. You become obsessed with creating a public image and without you aware of it, you are spending too much time managing a friend’s impression on your Facebook image. It gets out of hand when you are always trying to think of something cool, humorous and entertaining just to show them how awesome you are. In real life your personality might vary from who you are on Facebook.

With Facebook, without you realizing it, you are depending on others to make you happy. Every time you share something about yourself, you take great attention to it and could not stop yourself from constantly checking the reactions of others towards your post. If you get less likes for your post, you feel yourself unworthy and your mood is affected. On the other hand, if you get a lot of likes for your post, your mood will be elated and you will feel proud of yourself. Remember, ladies and gentlemen, your worthiness does not depend on the likes you get on Facebook. This is not the way you should live.

In conclusion, Facebook can be a fun way to connect with people from around the world and keep up with childhood friends but if you find yourself getting stressed or frequently annoyed after logging on, just take a break from it for a few days and see if you feel differently about it. You might be surprised at how much easier your life is without Facebook!

Persuasive Speech 3 - Homosexual Marriage Should be Opposed

Good morning to Miss Sophia and all my respected audience. My topic today is homosexual marriage should be opposed. The reasons that I will like to touch on are homosexual marriage cannot be considered as marriage, it unable to provide a complete family to the young, it validates and promotes the homosexual lifestyle and legalizing homosexual marriage will imposes its acceptance on all society and lastly homosexual marriage offends God.

Ladies and gentlemen,

For your information, the word homo comes from a Greek word that means the same while homosexual is a person that is attracted to those of the same sex. The term homosexual has largely been called by a less formal term which is gay or lesbian. The issue has gained the public’s concern in these few decades as the homosexual were recently rising up wish to fight for their right included the homosexual marriage. However, the homosexual marriage is not recognized by most of the people while a small portion of people thinks that homosexual should be legalize . In my opinion, homosexual marriage should be opposed as it causes a lot of harm.

Firstly, homosexual marriage cannot be considered as marriage because the real purpose of marriage is the perpetuation of the human race. Homosexual marriage is the union of people with same gender and thus they are sterile and not able to give birth. It completely denies the aim of marriage as the natural tendency of such a union is not to create families. Besides, it violates the natural law which stated that a man and a woman should union and produce new generation. The union between same sexes is considered wrong as it denies the norm of morality.

It is an undeniable fact that many homosexual couples nowadays think that they can build up their family by adopting a child but it is a wrong mind set becase a child should be risen up in a complete and normal family with a mother and a father. Raising a child in an abnormal environment will causes long-life effect on the child. In short, same-sex marriage ignores a child’s best interests and the child will suffer because of the selfish decision made by the “parents”.

My dear audience,

           Allow me to move on to my next point which is the homosexual marriage should not be legalizing as it validates and promotes the homosexual lifestyle. Laws are mean to structure the human’s lifestyle and if the laws recognize and admit the homosexual marriage, it will profoundly modify everyone’s perception and evaluation towards the issue. The person’s thought and behaviour will be greatly influenced and it leads to many harmful effects to the society.

By legalizing homosexual marriage, it imposes its acceptance on all society, the school will have to make the homosexual marriage in their syllabus and the children will expose more than ever to it. As a result, the new generation will thought that this type of marriage is normal and more and more teenagers may go into homosexual relationship as it is no longer prohibited by the society.

Last but not least, homosexual marriage offends God. Marriage between a man and a woman is a natural moral order established by God. It is clearly stated in the bible verse“God created man in His image; in the Divine image he created him; male and female He created them. God blessed them, saying: ‘Be fertile and multiply; fill the earth and subdue it.”. As a result, practicing homosexual marriage will be a sin as it oppose to the order of God.

In conclusion, homosexual marriage should be opposed as it brings a lot of harms and disadvantages to the society and legalizing the homosexual marriage will leave a long-life effect to the next generation. My dear audience, please be aware of the harmfulness of legalizing homosexual marriage and now, it is the time to say no to homosexual marriage.

           A very good morning I bid to all. Today, I am going to give a speech entitled “What makes a good teacher?”

            American journalist and former news anchor for CBS Evening News, Dan Rather, once said, “The dream begins most of the time, with a teacher who believes in you, who tugs and pushes and leads you on to the next plateau, sometimes poking you with a sharp stick called truth.” A good teacher is not only someone who has extremely high expertise on her subject and has good way of imparting knowledge but also someone who awakens passion and joy of learning as though she walks into minds and turn all lights on.  So, what do you think makes a good teacher? In my opinion, a good teacher is someone who has contagious enthusiasm for her teaching career, and has infinite creativity and is a good mentor to students.

Dear audience,

Firstly, a good teacher has contagious enthusiasm which she can pass on to her students. She approaches her students and her work with intensity and fervour. Not only that she loves her subject area, she always believes and hopes for a resounding success for her students and most of all, never gives up on any of the underachievers. For example, a good teacher will push her student to strive harder when the student seems not up to the mark. She will also reflect on her professional development which includes class, student management, teaching method and modern technology to enhance her professional and capabilities. In short, a good teacher is an ardent educator.

Dear fellow friends,

            Secondly, creativity is a paramount trait in a good teacher. A good teacher is one who never fails creating a conducive, harmonious and fun learning atmosphere in her class.  To achieve learning outcomes, she always devises new strategies and uses a wide variety of innovative approaches with a touch of humour to teach. She brings to life the lessons to attract students’ interest by relating her life experiences to the lesson taught.  Graphics, charts and videos, or even educational jokes, are some example of engaging materials to aid explanations. A good teacher organizes mini games before lessons to grab attention but is always firm to make clear transition back into lessons. A good teacher is one who fosters and cultivates creativity.

            Thirdly, a good teacher is a mentor who teaches not only knowledge of facts but also prerequisite lessons of life. She emphasizes not solely the tangibles of academics achievements but also the holistic development of a child. She is aware of the influences her teachings towards her students thus always try focus on teaching life and moral lessons and be a good mentor. A good teacher endeavours to not only know her students just as students, but also as a friend or even a confident.  Whenever students faced problems on issues of studies or relationship, seeking advice from her would be easy and comfortable. A good teacher is one who gives word of inspiration and channels positive energy according to accumulated wisdom of hers to steer her students to the right direction of life.

Ladies and gentlemen,

            A good teacher is hard to find. Not only a teacher must be an excellent mentor, but also must be able to empathise the students who are under tutelage. Nevertheless, every teacher can and should aspire to be good. All in all, it is pure bliss and felicity for students being able to have a creative teacher who instills passion of learning and positive values. Just like what William Arthur Ward says, “The mediocre teacher tells. The good teacher explains. The superior teacher demonstrates. The great teacher inspires.”

Persuasive Speech 1 : How to Develop Good Eating Habit?

A very good morning I bid to our lecturer, Miss Sophia and all my fellow friends. Today, I am going to deliver my speech entitled “How to develop good eating habits?”

Ladies and gentlemen,

What is actually the meaning of good eating habits? Well, the definition of good eating habits is good eating behaviour that is beneficial to one’s physical or mental health which is often linked to a high level of discipline and self-control. All human being needs food to survive. However, people nowadays lead a hectic lifestyle which causes them to pay less attention on food in order to stay healthy. So, people tend to surfer from diseases such as diabetes, heart disease and obesity. In order to stay healthy, we must start from good eating habits. There are three good eating habits that I am going to discuss which are eating plenty of fruits and vegetables every day, eating less unhealthy food and cooking food in a healthier way.

Ladies and gentlemen,

Now, let me introduce my first point of good eating habit which is eating plenty of fruits and vegetables every day. As we all know, fruits such as apples, oranges and watermelons as well as vegetables such as carrots, green beans and cabbages contain all types of vitamins which are needed for our health and growth. We should consume them on our daily basis as meals. In addition, we can eat raw or drink as juices which can improve our digestive system in order to prevent constipation. Thus, good eating habit such as eating fruits and vegetables everyday should be practiced in our daily life.

Ladies and gentlemen,

 Let me move on to my next point. My next point is we should consume less unhealthy food especially food that is rich in fats, cholesterol, salts and sugars. For example, all junk food and soft drinks should be avoided due to poor nutritional value. Regular consumption of such foods can cause diseases such as obesity, diabetes, high blood pressure and cancer. Therefore, we should eat white meats such as chicken and fish meats which contain less fat instead of red meat. Moreover, we should drink more low fat milk than full cream milk. This is because we can obtain more nutrients that are beneficial to our health. By applying these eating habits into our daily life, we can free from any diseases. Therefore, food that is unhealthy should be less consumed.

My dear audience,

Last but not the least, let us look at the next good eating habit that we should practise which is cooking food in a healthier way. We should use the healthy cooking methods such as steaming or boiling to cook food. Fried food such as fried chicken which contains more fats and cholesterol will cause us to get disease such as obesity easily. We should avoid eating the outer layer of meat cooked either grilling or heating in oven. It may be exposed to excess oxidation which is harmful to health. If we consume this kind of food frequently, our health will be greatly affected. For instance, we may suffer from cancer. Thus, we must cook food in a healthier way which is also one of the good eating habits.

In conclusion, we must practise all the three good eating habits such as eating plenty of fruits and vegetables, eating less unhealthy food and cooking food in a healthier way. By applying these good eating habits, we can certainly stay away from any diseases. Actually, good eating habits are only one of the ways to stay healthy. Therefore, we must start from good eating habits first since we need to eat in order to survive. Good eating habits will lead to good living. Thus, let us live healthy in order to live our lives maximally, happily and meaningfully. This is because we cannot do anything if we suffered from any types of diseases.
